He’d be even cuter if I was holding him…

You are right! Anything cute is that much cuter when you are holding it! This lil morsel certainly qualifies!

Sounds like something that could be added to the Rules of Cuteness from the old ranch.

“If you hold an already cute thing in your hands, it’s cute(r).”

Which is cuter, the dust buddies or the owlette?

    • fkaWaldenPond August 28, 2017 / 11:37 am

Moist owlette for sure, dust buddies make my nose and skin phantom itchy.

      • Murray C August 28, 2017 / 11:55 am

Dust “buddies” is a new one on me – or are your noses stopped up from all the dust and you really mean to say “bunnies”?

        • allein ? August 28, 2017 / 12:13 pm

Dust Buddies is the title of the short film Mike posted yesterday.

          • Murray C August 28, 2017 / 10:08 pm

            ?Oh, right.

            • fkaWaldenPond August 28, 2017 / 10:16 pm

Nah, don’t worry about it; it was the antihistamine we both took yesterday before watching it that made us forgetful. 😀

      • HaHa August 28, 2017 / 12:37 pm

Allergies are my excuse not to dust. 😉
        Feels itchy in sympathy.

That owl goes up to 11…

  4. Kar August 28, 2017 / 11:24 am

    “Moist Owlette?” that’s a keeper.

    • Smartypants August 28, 2017 / 3:23 pm

It’s the juvenile form of the rarely-seen Superb Owl.

  5. Murray C August 28, 2017 / 11:26 am

A moist owlette – I ahsk ya. (autocorrect tried to make it “omelette”)

  6. Faye August 28, 2017 / 11:31 am

I’m a bit sticky. I could use the moist owllett.

I love saw-whet owls. I always describe them as ten pounds of outrage in a half-pound bird.

    • HaHa August 28, 2017 / 12:41 pm

YOU HAVE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THEM!?!
      Ahem.
If there are stories, please share. 🙂

      • SoccerSue August 28, 2017 / 4:24 pm

Unfortunately no personal experience, other than seeing them up close at a wildlife rehab place near Vancouver BC when they have their open house every year. (http://www.owlrehab.org/ ) They had one named Snoopy as their unofficial mascot; sadly, he passed away last year.

Their expression just always looks like they’re thinking “How DARE you?!” 🙂

        • HaHa August 28, 2017 / 4:57 pm

Still, you got to see them live and in person. Swooning heart. 🙂

    • Maia August 28, 2017 / 12:42 pm

Eeee! Moist Owlette is so wee. I’ll need several to do the job.

  10. Gigi the cat lady August 28, 2017 / 12:38 pm

    Too cute, I’m speechless.

  11. Dana August 28, 2017 / 1:14 pm

This is too cute for words. Except moist owlette.

  12. AJ August 28, 2017 / 3:26 pm

And I bet if you unwrapped the towel – IT WOULD BE SO FLLLLUFFFFFYYYY!!!

Either that or a punk rocker with a mohawk.

Classic NTMTOM! But is it a lemon-scented t-owelette?
