In this long-awaited sequel to the classic 1950’s horror movie, alien blobs from space once again mount an attack on planet Earth, but this time are foiled by an army of angry Jack Russell Terriers.

They should put him and his ball, er blob, on that trampoline in the background and see what happens…
Well, if anything can protect us from alien blobs, it’s JRTs. They’re adorably relentless.
I’ve seen a number of horror movies that would have ended a lot sooner with the addition of a strategically placed rottweiler.
I went for a walk yesterday, and while I was crossing a green space, I heard high pitched barking from a neighbouring yard. I couldn’t see what was barking, because the grass in the field was six inches high. When I got to the chain link fence, I saw three tiny scruffy looking dogs lined up and giving me whatfor. I bent over (kneeling no longer do-able), held out my hand, and solemnly assured them that I was absolutely terrified and that I would never enter their yard without permission. Their owner was sitting on his deck, laughing hysterically as I pretended that three fuzzy slippers had subdued me. Then they ran along the fence as I walked away, to make sure that I was leaving, and once I was across the road, went back to their owner.
I don’t know what kind of dogs they are. They look like the sort of dog one finds wandering, lost, by the side of the road in the rain. If this man is rescuing them, I applaud. And since it would only take two of them to injure one big toe, I will make sure to stay out of their yard.
Tiny barking happies.
What an adorable story, Duckie. I too often pretend that teensy dogs, whom my cat could injure by lying on top of them, have scared me out of their yards. It’s an easy thing to do in support of other short people.
That’s so cute! I can totally picture it. The dogs will be recounting it to each other for weeks.
Tiny barking happies! Yay! What a lovely story, Duckie. Thanks for sharing it here.
🙂
I’m having a flashback to “The Prisoner”. Remember Rover, the mysterious giant balloon?
