Welcome, sports fans, to the final match in this exciting Tug-of-War World Championship. And I can see referee “Doc” Sunde giving the players their final instructions… He seems to be taking a lot of time — Wait a minute! He’s not supposed to do that!
The Tug-of-War Commission won’t stand for this, Allein.
That dachshund is so proud in the end. I don’t think his tail could wag any harder. If it did, he might be airborne.
The best!
(On a sadder note, apparently doxie tails are vulnerable to injury from all that wagging. Poor little guys.)
Brains can totally make up for bulk. I’ve been saying it for years.
Watching the doxie slide around as the Bernese tugged made my day.
I’d give this 10 up votes. A novel could be written about the relationships displayed there!
Proof that size doesn’t always matter.
If the bernese had wanted to keep the toy, he could have, he’s just too gentle to fling the weenie around the room. :3
Omgosh. Always bet on the Dachshund!
Millie is Part Dachshund. I noticed a difference in her tenacity that was waaaay different from my previous dogs. Her training was more about the two of us learning to cooperate than my training her. She never backed down. I had to use all positive reinforcement. She ignored the word NO. The only thing that taught her not to pee or poop in the wrong place was a spray bottle filled with plain water.
And smart as a whip like the Dachshund in the video.
Whip being the operative word! LOOK at that tail!!!!
Yes. Whip that tail. Millie’s tail is not standard Dachshund! Curled up and fluffy.
I was whipped by a long Dalmatian tail once. It hurt! The Doggo was so happy I had to get up and move!
I’ve seen lab tails literally clear tables.
Then he was even MORE happy because everyone was on the floor flapping paper towels about.
Labs are so silly.
Yep, that sounds like a lab all right. 🙂 Try being whacked by a grehound tail, though! Yeouch!
Loooooong.
Holy crap! Apparently I sent this in April 2016!
All three dogs are adorable derps but, as something of a pee wee myself, I was glad to to see the little guy win this one!
Me, too!!
Same here. Got the short genes. So, I always root for the little guy.
That tail at the end seemed more angry than happy to me. More like “This is mine! *wagwagwagwag* Nobody’s taking it from me!”
