I will love her, and sniff her, and lick her, and call her “Giblet.”
Happy Thanksgiving, Lois M. (PS: I’m thankful to T. O. for the nice tip. Thank you!)

She sounds like a little toy I used to have. ๐
So cute, almost as if the baby turkey is asking, โAre you my motherโ? Happy Thanksgiving to NTMTOM and all those out there who celebrate it. Later I will probably see the some of the wild turkeys and lone peacock that call our neighborhood home. ??
Reminds me of the baby chick I got for Easter as a child, it would follow my little pom dog everywhere, the poor dog was terrified of it. The chick went back to the farmer next door where is originally came from after a couple of days.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
Haha! That’s too cute. As a pescatarian I always make a point of telling any wild turkeys I come across in MT that I’m not a threat to them. ๐ Happy Thanksgiving!
Hehe!
I just got home. Thanksgiving is at my uncle’s. It was a little smaller than usual, since my aunt’s brother’s family has been going to his daughter’s the past few years, and my one cousin who is usually there with his kids is in Florida, and my other cousin passed away earlier this year (but his wife and daughter stopped by for a little while before going to her mother’s). My uncle’s younger son and his wife and son were there for dinner, and his older son and his wife and two kids came for dessert. Their younger son and his family stayed last night, so they brought one of their cats with them because she’s old (around 16; they’re not entirely sure but the vet guessed she was around 10 when they got her 6 years ago) and not doing so well. Their other cat is okay on his own for a night, but they were worried about June. She is a long-haired mostly black kitty with white socks and white whiskers, all bones under all that fur (she’s a teeny thing to begin with, never more than about 8 pounds, but now she’s around 5). She’s also missing teeth so the tip of her tongue sticks out. She’s so sweet and she sat in my lap for a while a few times. I got a picture I’ll try to post tomorrow (my phone’s acting up so it’s in time out right now).
Happy day, all. I’m so thankful for this site, for our gracious and hilarious host Mike, and for all you peeps. You keep me grounded and remind me of all that is good in the world.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and I second DebG’s comment! I hope you all spend the holiday in away that makes you happy!
Thanksgiving blessings to all of our wonderful group here and especially to Mike for all he does to keep us looking forward to cheerful news instead of what we hear most from other sources. Our senior living facility is having a buffet with all the ‘goodies’ on it today so we can pick and choose what we want to get ‘stuffed’ on!! Family members (human that is) are also invited to attend. Wonder how many people who have doggies here will sneak some snacks for their furry family members.
Put out fresh nectar for the little hummers who visit our balcony feeder. Figured they needed special treatment today, too. ๐
Happy Thanksgiving to all the U.S. peeps, including this little guy.
Yesterday was a horrid day, but today is better. No nightmares, my knees did not hurt, and I actually slept last night. So my outlook on life is better today.
Now if only the rain would stop…
I’m going to try to get to Canadian Tire today. They have forty inch tall teddy bears for just under ten dollars. I can’t afford one, and I have my own living version anyway, but I do want to go in and SEE what they all look like, and maybe hand out some hugs. I like to imagine buying a dozen or so for the Christmas Bureau, and having several staff members helping me to carry them to the car. Or maybe take them on a transit bus. THAT would be fun! Just have to keep the kids away. “No touchy da teddy.”
Have a great day, everyone, no matter where you are.
I prefer ‘George’. ?
Hugo the Abominable Snowman: [holding Daffy, whose shirt makes him look like a rabbit] Oh, what a cute little pink bunny rabbit!
[cradling Daffy]
Hugo the Abominable Snowman: Just what I always wanted. My own little bunny rabbit. I will name him George, and I will hug him and pet him and squeeze him…
Daffy Duck: I’m not a bunny rabbit…
Hugo the Abominable Snowman: …and pat him and pet him and…
Daffy Duck: You’re hurting me. Put me down, please.
Hugo the Abominable Snowman: …and rub him and caress him and…
Daffy Duck: I AIN’T NO BUNNY RABBIT!
Happy Thanksgivings Day all! Had a good day with my overly boisterous family. Hope all of your days went as well.
