Catheads of the Andes

In the cold, punishing, snow-capped heights, a unique partnership has evolved among the dogs who guide climbers to the peaks. “I am a cathead,” says our guide, “like my father and his father before me.” Because the chilling cold can freeze their brains, guides wear a “thinking cat” to stimulate mental activity.

I can’t stop thinking of tuna, for some reason.
