They have a better culture than humans. I vote yes.

Not sure about the CGI for Star Wars IX .. Leia looks a little cat-sh.

On the Zooborns page about the cute little shrews, the title of the video there refers to them by their Dutch name, “slurfhondjes,” which translates as “proboscis dogs” or “trunk puppies.”
Different species of these trunk puppies, all adorable:
OMG so do I!!!! Now I need a trunk puppy of my very own.

They would be very good at texting, with that nice long snout. And I was surprised they chew so slowly – little animals usually do everything at high speed.

My fav also!?

Clearly, the Dutch know more about naming animals than we do! I hereby decree that elephant shrews shall henceforth be known solely as trunk puppies!

Hm trunk puppy, this is how I would imagine the love child of a giant hummingbird and a mouse.
As a crafter, I’m impressed by the guy’s hats made of felted cat hair. As a catmom, I feel that I’m wasting my time (and a lot of fur) by NOT doing this.

My mini lop sheds sooooooooo much I could make MANY wigs out of his fur!

Oh, don’t they, tho’. Mine has been non-stop shedding for months. I do put the fur out for the birds in the spring. I hang it in a tree inside one of those mesh bags onions come in.
I love Crosby, cross-eyed kitties have a special place in my heart! ?
Looking at the crossed eyes gives me a headache…
A duckhawk? These punk kids are getting out of hand.
From baby elephants to baby elephant shrews…quite the spectrum of links!
I think we should give the running of the planet over to elephants.
I second this.

Oh man! That’s funny.
I fell in love with trunk puppies years ago. I had a pic of one at my work desk. Some days I needed a trunk puppy pic to get me through the day.
The yawning is hilarious.
Trunk puppies…it’s even better than hamster dogs!
Yup.
