LOL!! For me Yakkity Sax will always conjure up images of Benny Hill, that’s where I remember hearing it first.

I almost forgot all about Benny Hill. That show (and almost all British comedy shows from that era) were so crazy, funny and outrageous. Who here remembers ‘Allo, ‘Allo, Are You Being Served, Fawlty Towers, and Open All Hours?? Man, try showing them today and somebody (or everyone) would probably find something to be offended.

The “German episode” of Fawlty Towers almost killed me from laughing so hard.
I was a total fan of Fawlty Towers. Side splitting physical comedy mixed with such smart ideas.

I loved all those shows. I could still watch the today – and do when I can. I also love Black Adder, Vicar of Dibley, Wooster and Jeeves. Brilliant.

Oh man–haven’t watched Blackadder in years! And I need to catch up on Fawlty Towers. Benny Hill was never my thing, but Yakkity Sax does make everything funnier.

I never liked the scantily clad women, but loved his poems – reminiscent of Marriot Edgar’s poems about Albert and the Lion and Sam, Pick Up Thy Musket, etc. etc. LOVE those, they make me scream with laughter.

I’m reminded of a cat I once temporarily inherited from the previous owner of my house. She would open a cupboard door, drag out the box of cat biscuits, and if necessary chew open one corner to get at the goodies within. She also had a bizarre way of climbing ladders, twisting herself through the rungs in the manner of a slinky, and I once had to rescue her from a watering can from which she was trying to drink – when there was a dish of fresh water on the floor two feet away.

She sounds really interesting. Sounds like she might have benefited from a scholarship to some sort of school. An enterprising and energetic creature.

About a year after we moved in she finally deigned to return to her old owners, who had moved to a house at the end of the street! My own cat was greatly relieved as the two hated each other.

That’s just hilarious! Cats can be so controlling! And you can’t get them into therapy.
Getting cats into therapy is like herding cats! Impossible.
Haha that her owners had only moved down the street. So typical.

Our mini schnauzer would stick her whole head in the Milkbone box.

Oohh what a mess but that bunneh is too cute to get upset with, especially since this seems to be a daily routine. Hoomin, don’t run out of oatmeal or else. I know from my bunnehs, they are all about the same routine.
Yakkity Sax makes everything funnier.
Yes. Yes, it does.
You are right, Alice Shortcake!

Gorgeous bunny.
Tread jack : If you haven’t seen it, take a look at the Google Olympic cartoon.

That is too cute!!! And so is this bunny. I kept expecting him/her to go get their own bowl and make breakfast, lol
Awwwww! If only!
Too many of those oat treats spells stasis for buns! (“nuffer” said.?)
I’ve been loving the whole series of Olympic Google Doodles! Such creativity and whimsy.
I’ve always said nothing is happier than a happy dog. Now I may have to revise it! Bun sure looks excited and happy.
What the heck is in that canister? You’d think it was carrots.
Thank you so much! x
