(You know, when they told me I could have frozen fish for dinner, I was sort of imagining something a bit more convenient than chasing them all over this frozen pond. You guys don’t have any Mrs. Paul’s?)

I can’t get enough of this fish schtick, Phred’s Mom. (via Reddit)
Fish schtick! Hahahahaha.
Giant iPad cat app!
Win-win: Cat has fun, fishies stay safe.
The Gorton’s Fisherman, he is not.
Poor frustrated kitty!!! I wonder if he got frostbite on his paws?? I hope his devoded servant made sure kitty ended up with a nice chunk of fresh fish.
this Simon’s Cat short always makes me laugh!
Oops, I should have mentioned it’s the Ice Capades one and Simon’s Cat is in a similar predicament (can’t catcha da fishie). The link isn’t booby-trapped!
Koi: Neener neener!
Cat: Just you wait, Fish Stick, spring is coming!
haha endless fun, for kitteh and koi.
Hey, /Phred’s Mom is the sender inner – Long time no see, Phred’s Mom!
I kept waiting for kitty to break thru and fall into the water. Now that would be interesting to see!! But is it wrong that I was laughing at him slide all over the ice and I can only imagine what was going thru his mind – I see the fish but why can’t I get them????
There’s a beautiful poem (with ghastly title) written about a similar scenario:

“Damn these super-intelligent fish and their invisible force-field!”
Ahhhh! I am reading the comments here and Paul Simon’s ‘Slip Sliding Away’ just came on the radio.
Has anyone else ever seen ice that clear (that formed naturally)? It looks like maybe it had started melting (the cat may have been sliding on water as well as ice) — would that make it clear? Admittedly, living in Texas, my experience with frozen ponds is limited (to say the least), but I grew up in Illinois, and I don’t remember them being that clear.
Yes, tho’ not as deep. Not sure of the phenomena that allows it to happen. I remember seeing leaves floating by in the gutter with the ice that clear over them. It’s the same event that gives us that wonderful substance called black ice – you can really crown your cranium or bust a knee cap on that stuff.
