Edmonton Humane Society latest adoption blitz being hailed a huge success

And finally: I will see your piano player for sheep and raise you a girl playing accordion to cows
(Did anyone send this to me? If so, thank you.)
The bumblebee story is amazing. What a lovely woman! So insects, at least social insects, respond to care? And cattle like music? Didn’t seem to be treats involved.
Maybe they can arrange a play off: sheep/piano on one side of the fence, cows/accordian on the other.
A duck vs. duck style duel?
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that movie!
I haven’t watched that movie since I saw it in the theatre, I should look it up.
We had it on VHS. (Actually, my parents probably still have it.)
Just FYI, it’s a concertina – an Anglo, I believe, which means it plays a different note in and out, like a harmonica. An English plays the same note in or out.
Nitpick – that’s a concertina, not an accordion.
Coming soon: chickens being serenaded by a cello and wombats enjoying the mellow tones of the trombone.
I read all the comments to see if someone else had said this is a concertina, not an accordion. Yes, another nitpicker so you’re not alone, Alice Shortcake. Cute either way though.
Alice, I think I wrote mine before I saw yours. Oops. The little girl is wonderful – she’ll be a star player not too long from now.
Anyway – I LOVED the kitty with the pillow and the one with the dog – my faves. The lady with the bee is terrific – I’d be so afraid that I’d hurt it!
Many adoptions – YAY! Wombat joey – well, it’s Wednesday, isn’t it? SO cute. And I love doxies, chill or otherwise.
The bee on her nose! Hee hee!
Wombats killed me ded. Don’t miss the video from Australia in the wombat story—wombat with milk mustache!
Thanks! I would have missed it. Adorable.
Wombatses born size of Gummy Bear !!!
…and the backwards pouch – leave it to wombats to do everything their way!
Great pics of the bby wombat in the pouch! I will have to show my second graders who were a tad confused about that. Such a cute baby!
“First box” kitty is just like, “aw, yeah, that’s the stuff!”
I want “First Costco” kitty. The spotty coat is gorgeous.
Baby’s got a squeezebox.
What about that farmer who brought all his cows in with the trombone? Cows seem to have diverse musical tastes =)
