It never failed: Becky would be sitting comfortably in her favorite recliner, ready to binge-watch the new season of Carrot Is the New Eggplant, when she would realize she needed to use the litter box.
Every darn time, Murray C.

Carrot is the New Eggplant.
Clever. Bonus points awarded. š
Oh geez, I just got the Orange is the New Black joke now. š So, it was my turn to have awful weird dreams last night– I dreamt my boss unjustly fired me and for small severance she gave me an envelope full of gift coupons for Applebee’s, The Beer Store and a bit of cash. :S
That is just cruel. Even I got a (slightly better) severance package.
I’m sorry you had such a bad dream – but the severance pay bit is truly funny – and an INSULT – after the laughter dies down.
Mike’s interpretation of this li’l bun is emblematic of the human condition of a certain age. Speaks to me, anyway!
I am dealing with serious sleep issues owing to (a) His Royal Hiney waking me up any time between 3:00 and 4:30 PM; and (b) vivid dreamsāsome of which are nightmares, all of which are non-restful. My sympathies on all the wackiness. Be glad you don’t have the rest (at least, I hope you don’t).
Also, the coupons are bizarre and yet funny. Or they will be funny, eventually.
I know, I know it is kinda funny but upon reflection during my walk today it does indicate my feelings on how the boss is operating the place. I have decided the boss can run the business into the ground but I won’t let the boss run me mentally or career wise into the ground. I am simply going to keep doing a good job, my best and try to tune out all the politics and other nonsense.
Ricky’s Mom, I think spring does that for sleep; I have the same problem and I am hoping it will just run its course. Hang in there though, shitty sleep and dreams can take a toll. Be sure to eat well and exercise– well, for what it is worth that is how I am trying to cope. š
Good for you for your healthy perspective! And thanks, FKWaldenpond, for your good wishes. Insomnia and vivid dreams are issues of long, long standing with meāfrom childhood. I’m trying to get back to better eating and more exerciseāI know you’re right and both will help (or at least not hurt). The weather in NYC has not been conducive to either, but I’m working on coming out of hibernation mode.
Although Becky would be the most SoCal name ever, she obviously is not from here: earlier this week I was having breakfast, and read the headline āCBD is the new kaleā. Tried hard to not spit any milk out, they went into my nose instead.
Those feets!
I much prefer carrots over eggplants, anyway. ??? ???
An eggplant reference on a Sunday???
** clutches pearls **
Pretty sure there’s a law in the blue books for that .
BTW, that is killer BED. Best I’ve seen in awhile.
BED? Did you mean BEF, or did I miss a class?
Beady Eye Factor (reference from the ol’ ranch), I believe.
I want to kiss the forehead, boop the nose, and then grab the whole bundle, bed and all, for cuddles.
Me too, DEBG, so leetle, squeeeeeee! That happens when Iām going to sit down and hold my bun, Leo. I just get him and myself comfy and then I remember, I forgot to do or get something. But heās great about not caring that I get up, holding him, and get whatever it was I forgot.
The fuzzy head… the feetsies…. the laid-back ears… too much cute to handle…..thunk.
Ditto. I’m going to be useless the rest of the day.
