Guide dogs are still dogs. My friend’s guide dog DeeDee, at the birthday party she was throwing for her boyfriend, realized that my friend had set her piece of cake down next to her, and it was within DeeDee’s reach. All it took was one bite, and the cake was inhaled! You can’t get mad at guide dogs for wanting snacks and spoiling; they do such amazing work, it’s only fair to let them enjoy the special things in life!

The dog who pays for cookies with a leaf is maybe a genius. The people who dumped the blind dachshund after agreeing to adopt him with the pit bull are unspeakable. I cannot imagine the emotional depravity of such creatures. And penguins chasing and catching bubbles?!? I volunteer to keep them supplied with bubbles.

Yes, every picture of him is cuter than the last.

And whoever named him “Wall-E” – should be friends with the person who named “Beau Tox”!

Yes, that face – thank heaven they found that little guy! And the penguins’ bubble play is beyond amazing – I am floored they can play with them w/o popping them!

I am so grateful that there is a lot of cuteness in the world – keeps me sane.

I hope there’s a hell, so the people who dumped little OJ after adopting him and Blue will roast in it for eternity.

Yes! I’m struck by how the owner who surrendered them, who’s so often cast as the bad guy, cared for them so much more than the wretched piece of poop who adopted them. I’m so glad the rescue org seized back Blue too.

I was hoping they can find someone closer who might let the original owner visit with them.

          That would be awesome.

We ended up with our cocker spaniel because the young woman who’d originally adopted him (in California) moved here for a job that kept her busy for so many hours that she simply didn’t have time for the silly little boy, so she found him a new home. She comes over once or twice a year to visit him, and it’s SO SWEET seeing them together again! He clearly still adores her and the feeling is mutual — last time she sat down on the floor just inside the front door and stayed there for about 15 minutes as they fussed over each other! — but he knows that home is here with us now so it’s just a nice visit with an old friend when she comes over.

. So I’m a BIG fan of letting the original owner see the pet you adopt — it can make them feel so good, like she did after she saw him wearing his therapy dog vest! I’

m really, really glad that the rescue got Blue back as well as OJ — the jerk who’d adopted them doesn’t deserve to ever have a pet again!!

Here here. That family / adopter should be banned from ever adopting pets again.

I hope the two find their happy home soon.
The dog and the leaf — so precious! I only my local bakers would do me the favor and accept leaves for baked goods too.
