When Maru isn’t engaging in his trademark weirdness, he’s a normal cat who does all the normal cat things, like crawling into bed with his human for cuddles and love. But when cuddle time is over and it’s time for breakfast, he does that other thing all cat owners know and love: standing on your chest and staring at you until you get up.

It’s really sweet seeing Maru just being a cat, snuggling with his mommy. His fur looks so soft up close. [Hana would like Juice Newton’s other hit song, “Playing with the Queen of Hearts.”]
I never thought i could love Maru more. Who knew such a persnickety kitty could be such a love bug. ??
Yeah, thanks for the earworm, Mike. (But at least it’s a song I like!) Maru is, however, the sweetest thing ever as he wakes up — obviously he loves his Mom dearly. I wonder where Hana is? Does she join Mugumogu and Maru for morning cuddles, I wonder?

Hana doesn’t join the cuddle party. She stays downstairs and then calls for Maru (which we hear) and then they play tag before breakfast. ?

OMG listening to Maru purr!! And Hana getting in one good yowl in the background. Too much.
Tried to watch on my tablet and it wouldn’t play. 🙁
I think they made some changes on the network and youtube and facebook only half-work on my personal device connected to the wifi meant for personal devices. Might have to ask IT if they can do anything about that. I should be able to watch a video on my lunch. (Not that I was on lunch when I tried to watch, I mean, it’s only 9:59am. Shh.)
This happens almost every morning with my little love bug. Unfortunately she often thinks 3:30 a.m. qualifies as “morning.” And she usually prefaces the cuddling by yowling like the house is on fire. But other than that it’s nice. 😛

lol…I literally just came back from grabbing food as I’m seeing this comment.
It was lovely, but I cracked up seeing giant “Maru Head” on my computer screen when it switched to him sitting on his “Mama” Mugumogu. That’s a lot of Maru in the morning!
