The Tortoise and the Hair

It’s the classic tail of the Tortoise and the Hare, but with a snappy ending. The plucky tortoise keeps combing, but the hare brushes him off in the nip of time — or does he? By holding on to the biter end, the tortoise gets something fur his trouble.

This could be the greatest video – no, movie – ever made. I for one will never forget the shot of the turtle with the bunny fluff in its mouth.

Aw come on, can’t we be friends. I just wanna be your friend, I don’t want anything in return. I saw what Mike did with “biter end”, at first I thought it was a type but guess not, lol. And yes that shot with the floof in his mouth was dang funny. And the bun bun looks kinda bewildered too, be careful what you wish for! Both were pretty cute too.

So tired this morning after all the craziness yesterday but worth it. The fridge delivery guys showed up an hour early without calling first so had to do a mad scramble to pull everything out of the old one but ahhh so nice to have a new one with lots of space. Only downside, I thought since the previous one had a water/ice dispenser the water pipe was already there. WRONG! Somewhat disappointing and now need to figure out how to put a pipe there. Our friend’s dad will look at it and see what he can do.

On a positive note, our electric car is now charging in our garage (and the house is still standing!) plus I have a pot of chicken tamales sitting on my stove. Hmmm, is it acceptable to have them for breakfast?? Tried one last night and oh, man soooooo good. Back today for round two to finish up the electrical and drywall the garage. And somewhere in there have to do my usual errands like groceries and laundry and etc. Have a relaxing Sunday everyone.

My freezer has an ice maker but there is no water supply to it (I usually just use the bucket to hold my ice trays, but at the moment it is filled with bags of frozen veggies). I once accidentally flipped the switch and turned it on, and kept hearing it running periodically and it took me a bit to figure out what that noise was. Oops.

I love cold drinks, the colder the better so my dream would be to have a fridge with a built-in ice machine so I have an endless supply without having to mess about with ice tray but I know my husband will say that it’s just one more gadget that’s going to break.

I’m not sure no-ice-maker was an option when I bought my fridge, unless I got one that would have been too small for the space and looked weird.

If I was that bunneh, I’d find that tortise a bit annoying, especially when it was trying to take a sample of its hind end. And who says turtles/ tortises are s-l-o-w. Luckily our turtle just liked sitting close to our bunnehs and dogs.

Don’t you hate that cottontail-mouth feeling?

Tortoises have so much enthusiasm! I think that’s why I love them so much.

Was the tortoise just mesmerized by the little wriggly tailio, or was he annoyed with the bun-bun? I wonder…

Since the tortoise was so persistently chasing the bunny until s/he got a mouthful of fluff and then quit, I wonder if that’s not at all what s/he was expecting the bunny to taste like…?
