It’s… so… hypnotic, Mila B. (Can’t view? Try here.)
As cat parents know, scratches are part of their charm.
Wow. Great links, Mike!
I love that leopard, and I’m glad they got the video. Could so easily have turned into a Darwin Award, though. Which would’ve been fine, too, so long as the young leopard didn’t get hurt.
Big cats first. Duh–no brainer…as the kids used to say, and I still do, apparently.
I’m not sure how wise it was to stop so close to a wild leopard but the guy deserves kudos for keeping calm even when he got snatched!
I love the two dogs that wake-up the toddler to give them treats, they even take her teddy to make sure she follows them. LOL!!
I could watch those two corgis (#9) hippety-hopping down the stairs all day.
National Geographic said this is very, very bad for the cats. It teaches them that humans are safe and approachable. They said that the tour guide should have honked his horn to scare the kitty away, showing it that humans are not to be messed with :-).
I do agree with that – wild animals should not be messed with. We had a nephew who was working with a photo safari outfit and he was killed by lions – very long story, and horrific. There was much worry that the pride had gotten a taste of humans and they set out to destroy them but they disbanded before they could be killed – I think a couple were, sadly. It wasn’t their fault for doing what comes naturally, but you can imagine the grief of all of us in the family.
That said – I’m VERY fond of the corgis and could look at all of those pictures all day long. And I, too, have a catnip bush for our cat tho’ she doesn’t venture that far anymore so I bring her bits into the house. And I’m amazed that tho’ the cat is shaking, its eyes are still.
Murray C, what a sad story about your nephew, on so many levels. It was breathtaking to see the leopard so close up, but things could have turned nasty very quickly.
The corgis about killed me. I want the ruffed lemur twins. And I must plant catnip on Mr. Tibble’s grave, as I’ve been planning to do for a few years now.
Love dryer kitty’s ability to keep the head perfectly centered in one place and eyes staying on target even though the dryer is vibrating at high frequency.
