I suppose you’re wondering why I’m hanging upside down like this. As much as I’d like to explain that I was bitten by a radioactive spider and developed amazing super powers, the fact is that there’s a spider in here with me and I’m scared of spiders.

I will let you out, kitty. But I might not put you down.
What a predicament! Poor kitty – sorta like that poor raccoon climbing the 25 story building – I’m so relieved they captured it and took it to greener places. According to a wildlife person in the area, raccoons have poor impulse control and once she started the climb there wasn’t any recourse but to keep climbing.
Kitty, I feel ya. I do the same whenever I find a creepy crawler, but I don’t look nearly as cute.
That racoon story was a nail biter! Those photos – Eeek!! So glad she was rescued.
Yesterday a site-wide email went out where I work to the effect of “if this [picture of Honda] is your car, there’s a snake on your car.” You could hear people cracking up or gasping in horror all over the floor as everybody noticed the new mail notification. I ended up going outside and catching it. After a moment or two of fruitlessly trying to suffocate my hand, it graciously allowed itself to be relocated to some brush well away from the parking lot.
I wish I’d thought to take a picture.
I so wish we’d gotten some videos or a pic.
What kind of snake was it that it tried to suffocate your hand?
Black rat snake, I think. Pretty much anything that isn’t venomous and doesn’t eat things that are bite sized or tube shaped is a constrictor.
If they open the top of the cage will kitty float higher?
We all float down here…
Actually, more like sloth-kitty….
Sorry kitty but I would be hanging right beside you, spiders terrify me.
I hate spiders, but would face one just to save this adorable kitten.
