Just so wonderful! I could watch these two all day!
Bouncy buoyancy makes for bigger, better bubbles.
Off topic, but not.
An older couple on our street, many years ago, attached two stuffed animal bear cubs, very lifelike, two stories up on one of their evergreens. I always enjoy seeing the two “frisking around” in all weathers.
Today, as I was walking home from the bus, something caught my eye. One of the cubs was moving! I’m normally a somewhat rational being, and my mind KNEW said thing wasn’t alive, but my imagination was all ready to take over.
Suddenly the movement stopped, and then, equally suddenly, a squirrel’s head popped out of the seam between the shoulders and the head! The wretched rodent emerged from the bear with a mouthful of stuffing, and hightailed it further up the tree. The very female squirrel was building a nest for her impending babies, and was using the bear’s stuffing to line it!
Duckie, that is a great story. I would have doubted my sanity in that situation.
How great! Love the bouncer bear and the little boy – and I love your story, Duckie.
Well, Duckie, a Mama Squirrel will do what she must do… maybe you can replace the unfortunate bear cub yourself, and leave the “injured”one to the mercy of squirrel and birdie Mamas busy preparing their nests for the next generation… kinda poetic, at that. Mother Nature and all that. 😀
We always used to dump brushed-out dog hair in the yard for the birds and squirrels. You’d see tufts of apricot fur in trees all over the neighborhood.
Children + animals = magic!
Marvelous – I LOL’ed through the whole thing from sheer delight!
Reminds me of Christopher Robin and Pooh bear. 🙂
