I love cats-returning stories.
But they hurt my heart, too, because my beloved soul-kitty…didn’t return. It’s complicated. I’ll never completely get over how it all went down, but I’m “used to it” now (okay, not really, I just don’t think about it as much).
Sorry for the downish post. I am truly overjoyed for those reunited with their lost pets.

My neighborhood has a melanistic (ie black) squirrel. I want him and one of those albino squirrels to meet.
Dalmations squirrels is what will happen. Or maybe skunk squirrels.
I love the “boop here” spot on the first squirrel.
My town has a bunch of melanistic squirrels – not jet-black but more of a slate or pewter color. Very pretty!
We have lots of black squirrel;s – both the grey and the black come to our garden everyday because………WE FEED THEM! (duh)
About lost animals – our cat, like so many, just appeared at our door one day. I put out posters in the neighborhood but nothing. I took her to the vet because she wanted to go out and I was afraid she would get pregnant, but she’d been spayed. I’ve always felt terrible thinking that someone would be missing her but the vet said we should just keep her so we did – despite my misgivings of her being around rabbits. That was all fine. I don’t regret a moment of having her but I do feel bad for whoever lost her.
Back at work from vacation and I could really use that puppy in my lap right now.
