You Had One Job, Bootsie!

Reader Carol B. shares an amusing scene from her part of the world: “I thought i had seen a little opossum eating along side our barn cats so i set my iPad to record, and record it did! I may have to have few words with Bootsie the barn cat.”

Hey, Bootsie has this worked out!! Those little darlings will eat thousands of ticks over time–this is an investment in species relations!

You’re failing at your job Bootsie! Love how the possum brought along a friend to the all you can eat buffet. And the bewilderment on Bootsie’s face at the end is priceless.

Needed this and the other funny stories today as I just got word my BIL was rushed into emergency open heart surgery. He had gone in for a simple stent procedure and they found a major blockage, now they’re doing a quadruple by-pass. Drs. said if he hadn’t had the procedure that caught the blockage, he probably would have dropped dead of a heart attack very shortly. Sad part is he’s the same age as me, in his early 50s. Good thoughts and positive vibes would be appreciated.

Talking about BILs, any word on Duckie’s?

AJ, feathered hugs are headed in your direction.
Hubby saw his brother yesterday (I haven’t been allowed in in weeks because of cough). Says he is NOT well at all, and thinks maybe two weeks.
I don’t want to bring anyone down, but with everything that is going on here, July is going to suck. I am so grateful for the Cutetropolis community.

Thanks for the update Duckie and hugs back to you and your family. And you’re right July is gonna suck. Between the BIL and the possibility of hubby travelling for work, it’s shaping up to be a downer of a month. And I usually look forward to this month – a day off for the 4th of July, hubby’s birthday, and just generally summer (my favorite season) is in full swing. Well, as my momma always said, this too shall pass.

Good thoughts and positive vibes to you both, AJ and Duckie. “Hang in there” seems inadequate, but sometimes it’s all one can do (or offer).

Bless all of you dealing with BIL issues – and others who are not well and near and dear to us. I just visited a couple who have been dear friends since I was in my 20’s – almost 50 years! And she has succumbed to dementia and isn’t eating. My own brother has been dealing with something they can’t identify – he simply has no appetite and a big guy of 6’2″ is 153 lbs. My SIL is beside herself.

LOVE the little possums (O’Possums? are they Irish??) And Bootsie is a very good host.

Or possibly “Did that really happen or have I been overdoing the catnip?”

  8. Debg June 28, 2018 / 3:03 pm

Bootsie might think about another line of work.
