Kar, my squee was super-loud and went on for at least 5 seconds. Thank heavens I live alone, except for the 7 feline wonders of the world.

You think I might find one of these hiding under my bed??
Murray C.July 18, 2018 / 6:29 pm
Y’ never know!
dubravkamcvmdJuly 17, 2018 / 5:45 pm
I would think there’s a lot of competition for a staff position with this kitten.
allein ?July 17, 2018 / 5:52 pm
I would like to find that in my bed.

Although dust bunny seems to be the most common expression, dust mouse and dust kitten, as well as dust ball, are other real terms for the same thing. I just learned a new one, too: turkey’s nest.
Also …
Squee!

Squeeball!
Murray C.July 17, 2018 / 8:02 pm
In French, I believe, they are sometimes called “les moutons” – sheep.
FayeJuly 17, 2018 / 9:45 pm
I like that!
EmsthemonsterJuly 18, 2018 / 1:25 am
In my native language it is dust kitten!

Dict.cc tells me that dust bunny is “wool mouse” in German. But I’ve always heard it called “Lurch” (pronounced more like “lurk” than the Addams family butler). Maybe because they lurk under the bed???
SkimpyJuly 18, 2018 / 6:06 am
Yay for wool mouse! 🙂
Muppet2171July 17, 2018 / 6:34 pm

That is one cute kitten.
My grandson’s cat had one kitten. An only kitten can get pretty plump, plus he is fluffy. He is like the black version of this kitten,

It’s a little blue Persian. Yes, all that coat does make for MANY dust (kitty) bunnies!! Speaking from experience of 25 years!! But we Persian people wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s nothing like cuddling a long soft thick kitty coat like a Persian has. The work involved in keeping that coat in pristine condition is well worth the effort. That coat is what makes them so adorbs!! This one doesn’t have a snub nose but is still a cutie!!

All right. I swept. I vacuumed. I cleaned out the lint screen. I even moved the dryer and looked behind it.
No dust kitties.
What am I doing wrong?

I’m imagining the little guy rolling around like Sonic the Hedgehog. He’s an amazingly cute fluff orb.
I just squeed out loud.
Thank heaven’s it’s after 5 at the office.
