Not the Same Old Story

This is my favorite book, but only when Daddy reads it to me, because when Daddy reads it, Mittens saves the day differently every time. Last week, Mittens saved the day by stopping a runaway bus full of orphans from driving into a volcano. Yesterday, Mittens averted an international banking crisis. Can’t wait to hear how Mittens saves the day tonight! I specifically requested space aliens.

Can I come for a sleepover so I can hear the story, too?

This kitten needs to have a sleepover with Music Box Kitten!

So cute! At the shelter where I volunteer they have a program where little kids at the beginning reader stage come in and read to a cat or kitten in its kennel. It’s absolutely, heart-meltingly adorable.

I’ve seen stories about kids reading to dogs at shelters, too. I love it.

Kitty’s daddy sounds like mine—a super story reader and maker-upper.

“And that’s how Mittens restored democracy to the U.S. And everybody lived happily ever after. The end.”

Oh please, I want to hear that one! ?

Don’t we all, Dana. Don’t we all.

And when Mittens has recovered his strength, could he possibly do something about the heatwave in England? Here in York we’ve been promised thunderstorms and rain, but all we got earlier this evening were a couple of half-hearted rumbles and a few spots of rain. I’m living in a brown and unpleasant land!

So many great comments – and, of course, a great storyline. I think we should all go to Mike’s house and have HIM read us stories – maybe he’ll let us bring little fluff balls – or at the very least let us pet Ani.

Alice, I feel for your situation – I was in England during a real dry spell a few years back and it was so sad! And my husband has a cousin in York, I believe, who has a farm and they’re desperately trying to keep their cows alive! We’re fine here on the east coast of the US, have had plenty of rain, would be happy to share!

            MITTENS DID IT! It’s raining!

Democracy is coming to the USA

Now those are well informed voters

Oh, come on! Didn’t you guys in the US vote for Orangehead? Sadly, if only smart people could vote, there wouldnt be enough people to vote :(.

The kitty passes the fluffyness test 🙂

I’d like it read on every TV channel instead of the news. (BTW my name and email disappeared from the site?)

Mike, I’m not getting subscription confirmation emails again – last time that happened I’m not sure my posts even showed up. Might it have to do with privacy settings? Any ideas what I can do?

What email do you use? Last week several emails from here randomly went into my promotions tab instead of my primary inbox tab in Gmail. (Though I think I was missing more notifications than what was in there.) Maybe check your spam folder?
