If your day isn’t going so well, at least it’s going better than this cat’s is. This foolish feline is caught in the clutches of the Drapery Monster and even through it looks like curtains, the cat still has time do a little grooming.

Poor kitty. Is it bad that I giggled at this affront to his dignity? Then I felt bad so I decided to get mad at the person filming, put the dang phone down already and help him out this predicament!!
I hope that human then put down the camera before kitty got fed up and yanked the whole thing down. Or decided to rip it off rather than gnaw his leg off.
If you scroll to the very end, you’ll see that kitty does self-extricate. I’m torn about this one. It’s pretty funny, but I think personally I’d have put the phone down and helped kitty out.
It couldn’t hurt for the kitty to be given a chance to extricate itself – suppose this happened when no one was home? This is a teachable moment. also hilarious. Love when cats do a quick groom like that – “everything’ s under control, I’m not making a fool of myself, very relaxed”.
Yes. My day was better than this cat’s day. So far I have avoided being ensnared in the drapes, sheets, towels, and scarves. The pillows on the other hand gave me a bit of a fight.
I noticed on third watching that after he walks away the curtain straightens out and reveals a rather large hole. I’m thinking this might have been revenge…
In which case, it was richly deserved.

It has to be under 50 kb to upload. I usually make a copy of the file and open it in a photo editor and resize it until it’s small enough. (Or I search for it online and see if I can find an image link that will just embed.)
Alternatively, people sometimes email their images to Mike and he posts them.

I went to find a picture of kitten whiskers and discovered that Yankee Candle has a Whiskers on Kittens candle scent! (Apparently it’s sandlewood and vanilla musk.)
That kitten’s fur looks like sweater.
I’ve never met a cat or a kitten smelling like vanilla (blecchh). Though I do remember a marmalade kitty who smelled like curry… and there wasn’t any curry in the house.
I’ve only just noticed that there’s a second cat lurking within the yellow bed on top of the cat tree. Judging by his or her total indifference to the first cat’s predicament I get the impression that this unfortunate event may have happened before…
Philosophical question: Who decides to hang floor-length drapes in a house belonging to a cat?
