Nice links today. Love the pretty boirds and the happy dogs. Several made me go “Awww” especially the pit bull wearing a Christmas sweater (I think that’s what it is). Talk about a crazy chicken, I was cracking up with her antics. And surf dog lives in my neck of the woods, yea for him helping out the kids. Still can’t believe kitty is back home after 13! years, at least she’ll have a nice retirement. Silly Frenchie, you gotta remember to EAT the evidence, not just hide it, lol.
He didn’t eat the carrots, he was just holding them for you.
Have to go to a meeting but am looking forward to happy puppy smiles afterwards.
Spectacularly beautiful hummingbirds!
Best comment on the fluffy chicken story…
“Move over Kardashians… the lives of these chickens is way more interesting”
Ha!
I couldn’t agree more.
Yep, me too! That Silky chicken had me laughing at her sweet silliness.
Just noticed the spiked collar on the carrot thief. Tough little guy, ain’t he?
Marvelous Spatuletail
That is just fantastic.
I’m so tired from the heat that I had to google this bird to make sure you hadn’t made it up. Who’d have thunk a bird like this even exists????? Amazing colors and features but still can’t believe it’s actually real. Learn something new everyday.
And according to wikipedia, he can control those tail feathers independently.
It’s got to be a male then. The design frou-frouness of so many male birds!
Someone certainly had fun naming them!
He looks a little like something out of Dr. Seuss.
“Evolution of a smile” (#7 in the puppy smile list) reminds me of a series of pictures in my parents’ basement of my mom when she was a toddler. There are 5 (I think) pictures in a row; in the first she has a straight face and then each one her smile grows until she appears to be laughing in the last one. It’s great.
The park near work has Silkie chickens. A few years ago there were babies and they are the most adorable birds I’ve ever seen. Little balls of fluff with feet just running around their pen.
On a side note, am I crazy/imagining things but didn’t this post have a different headline early today??
Are you sure it was I who sent in the carrot-non-eating dog! I have no recollection of it – oh, dear.
I loved the chicken but am worried at the idea of breeding a chicken to be so docile that it can’t protect itself!
Dear old cat! Our cat is soon to be 19 and she was a stray – I often worry about the people who lost her but she didn’t have a chip.
Laughing pups keep me reminded about how sentient animals are.
My notes say that you sent it, but it had been sitting in my stack of videos for a long time. (I have sooo much material piled up. That’s a good thing, but I lose track of some of it.)
I would like all those hummers to come visit me. They’re just breathtaking.
Should have clicked through to the doggie smiles first thing this morning–they would have brightened my whole day! The returned cat made me cry a little, but it was a good cry.
That carrot-eating puppers is too cute for words. And hurrah for surfing hero-dogs!
