Elephants are so big because they’re full of personality.
Research suggests there are 4 big personality types found within elephant herds – the leaders, the gentle giants, the playful rogues & the reliable plodders. Each plays a key role in how their family copes with threats & adversity like starvation or drought. #WorldElephantDay pic.twitter.com/yrJ8xokk9R

Elephants like people because they think we are cute exactly the same way people think puppies are cute.
People are elephant puppies!
Wonderful essay! Thanks Mike and Andrew.
❤️Elephants and Elephant picnics ?! I don’t understand how anyone could hunt them for sport?
OMG I wanted both videos to go on forever! Squeeeeeeee!!!!! Those baby heffalumps who could hold their own bottles killt me.
It’s a good thing I watched at the *end* of the day, because I wouldn’t have been able to function otherwise. Spent the day sorting out a crap-ton of stuff to give to charity–can’t believe I held on to it for so long.
I loved when he took the bottle! “I can do it myself!”
The prancing baby ele in the first pic looks like a cartoon character! He needs his own show.
The video with the picnic made me think how well behaved those elephants are. Most of them could simply step over the fence, or the baby could crawl under it. And they could certainly knock it down with little effort. They are just one of the most amazing creatures ever!!!
