Well, it just so happens it’s in my water, so I can hop in whenever I want to. You otter be more familiar with the rules. And by the way, those aren’t your shoes — those were your shoes.

From sender-inner DebG!
Judging by the tag on the otter’s back foot, she probably had had some other human interaction. Personally, I would have been overjoyed and given butt scritches, even if it risked me getting bitten.
Imagine getting back to shore and having to explain that an otter stole your shoes…thank goodness for camera phones!
Reminds me of the person who caught a raccoon stealing their doormat through the cat door. Raccoon made a face like “you gonna stop me?” This otter looked more like “oh, is this yours?”
“Why can’t you have a more comfortable boat?”
Yes really. This is like my cat: after I serve her lunch, she would often jump up to the desk, occupying exactly a third of the mouse pad, and start her elaborate yogic cleaning routine. I would give her the side-eye “comfortable?”

Haha!
Oooo. Yes please.
Perfect!
“This is more like it. So? When can I expect this? And don’t forget the fishies next time.”
Hee hee. Delightful video. ?
Well, it was a yellow Kayak.
Probably thought that this was a water taxi.
🙂
Love the lady’s reaction: excuse me?! excuse me?! LOL.
Yeah, that made me LOL, too!
Excuse me .. Are you my UBER ?
Wow, that was fast—I just sent this in yesterday!
I too would risk bites to get to pet an otter.
If only she had fish: And thanks for all the fish.
This is just amazing! I would LOVE for this to happen to me?. I would also be tempted to try butt sckritches! He/she just looks so nonchalant!
You’re gonna need a bigger boat…
