From the young to the old, the story of Fiona has brought smiles and inspiration to people everywhere, and many of them make the trip to the Cincinnati Zoo to see the famous hippo in person. There’s my girl!! Thanks, Mike, for posting it. I knew I’d sent it in. I’m saving this one as it has so many notable moments in it. I love the one where Fiona’s reading the mail with her caretaker and resting her head on the caretaker’s lap. Love it that there’s no plans to send Fiona to another zoo. I see where there is another pygmy hippo we’ll be able to follow.
Lovely to see so many people enjoying Fiona.
Oh gosh – her first wobbly steps, when she was able to step over a plastic pipe and get herself out of a corner – that was the first time I really felt strongly “She’s going to be OK.”

My favourite moment will always be “the leg chomp”. That was the moment when I truly felt Fiona would survive.
Yes, sassy Fiona moments are the best!!!! But I also agree with DEBG, all Fiona moments are the best.
