Meet Hot Lips, a feisty wombat at Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary with an equally hot temper. There’s a drought in her native Australia and grass is hard to find, so when she gets a fresh batch she guards it fiercely and has some very strong language for anyone who comes near.
Another wombatty find from Murray C.
I find this sad, that a poor animal would expend so much energy protecting a measly handful of… grass. Let her eat in peace!
I felt that same as you, Circe.
Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the pouch!
Not sad. She needs to know how to protect her food in the wild.
She’s doing some excellent wombatting, there, cared for by loving experts. Go, Hot Lips, go! I hope the drought ends soon, for all our friends Down Under!
And when she’s sleeping another wombat comes to lend her a Houlihan….sorry, I’ll see myself out. 🙂
How does a wombat get named Hot Lips? Inquiring minds want to know.
