I don’t know if a pop-up newspaper would be fun or utterly horrifying…

I would gladly get all my news from this twitter.

Much better than the other Twitter!

“Oh, I’m much more fun than that Bump fellow. Thump? Rump?”

All of the above incarnations?? 🙂

I’d subscribe if a cockatiel popped up every time I finished a sad or depressing article.

    • Claraluz September 19, 2018 / 10:20 am

Given the times, the cockatiel would soon collapse due to extreme popping-up fatigue.

Ok. I’m ded now. I’ve gotten my full lifetime supply of cute from this tiny peekabooing creature.

    OMG the little high-pitched “PEEEKaboo”!!

  5. Wuyizidi September 18, 2018 / 2:24 pm

    That’s one pop-up I’ll never block.

I’m having trouble processing this – the intense sweetness and adorableness of the bird’s actions and words, coupled with the extreme brevity, produces amazing impact – it’s like a great 13 second opera.

    • Faye September 18, 2018 / 4:16 pm

      Exactly.

    • Claraluz September 19, 2018 / 10:17 am

      😛 😛

Wonder if he’s related to the owl from yesterday?? Love these little cockatiels, they can be so sweet. A French professor in college had one that she had taught to whistle La Marseillais. Only problem is the bird did the first few bars and then left you hanging, lol. I was always like “And??” just waiting for the next part. Then my mother-in-law had one she trained to swing on her oxygen tube like a swing. They were even written up in the hospice newsletter for that little trick.

So, so sweet it melts my heart!

  9. patris September 18, 2018 / 4:03 pm

I loved this so much I just laid an entire clutch of eggs.

    • Wuyizidi September 18, 2018 / 4:24 pm

      What have you done, internet?!

    • Claraluz September 19, 2018 / 10:14 am

      Dear Patris,
Speckled, I hope? Are you planning to incubate them (careful not to sit down on them, I recommend a lab-type incubator), or are you going to make a giant cheese omelet?
Curious readers are eager to know!!!

I need to be able to do more upvotes for this one! I sure do love that little peek-a-booer. Much better than the news, for sure.

It made me so happy I could incubate a sprinkler!

    • Dubravkamcvmd September 18, 2018 / 10:06 pm

Thanks for reviving that phrase! I love it!

    • Faye September 18, 2018 / 11:18 pm

      Yay!

  12. Tara September 18, 2018 / 6:26 pm

    OK.
I move that all birdies, capable of speech, must be trained to do this trick by their owners.
    All in favor?

    • AJ September 19, 2018 / 12:51 am

      I second this emotion!

  13. ffleur2 September 18, 2018 / 7:24 pm

This is the sweetest thing I’ve seen this month!

  14. sugitomo September 18, 2018 / 8:51 pm

OMG, give me all the cockatiels in the world now. This is so adorable!

  15. Birdcage September 19, 2018 / 9:00 am

Y’all want pet boids who do the peekaboo trick but you have to trust me that it can get old when they do it for 6 hours in a row without stopping. It’s like an annoying GIF you can’t turn off. I roux the day (wrou? roo? rue?) that Merlin learned peekaboo …. That, and the “abrakadabra” game where Merlin says “abra” and waits patiently until one of the humans says “kadabra”. Eventually someone says it.

Holy smokes, I thought old flappy lips could be annoying; yes that does sound quite tiresome! 😀
