Links: And G’day to You, Sir

And finally: Nailed the Landing

I’d give it a nine-point-seven, Dana D.

All I have to say about the calendar – there were animals in the pictures??? Just kidding (sorta!) – the animals are so adorable and the guys – well, let’s just say the room is getting kinda warm. The comments are too funny, my favorite – Holy homones, there’s two of them.

Rest of the links are cute but that new holiday Wolfnoote is just kinda strange. Nice idea, especially from a little boy, but there’s still a lot of questions. And maybe the article was written poorly but who/what the heck is the Great Wolf? And why is his death so important? Or maybe it’s too dang early for such questions and I should go get some coffee to wake up.

I’ve already got 2 Cutetropolis calendars, but I need the Australian for the kitchen. Or the bedroom. Men with indigenous wildlife–I’m doing it for the wombats, people.

That poor little handstanding puppers! I blame the costume! Sorry for laughing so much, little one.

Baby birds are just not cute. I’m very happy for the zoo’s success regardless.

When they are right out of the shell with egg slim all over them, they aren’t too attractive but once they fluff up, they can be quite adorable.

You’re right–I forgot about the fluffy stage!

Our office is in a building that also houses several local government services including ambulance and fire.
Every year there is an annual fire inspection and the first year I worked here, I had 8, yes people EIGHT FIREMEN wander into my office.
Truthfully, the fireman fantasy is not my ride but when you have EIGHT stroll into your office– I just sat at my desk facing them getting wider eyed and redder each passing moment. People, I was 3 short of a calendar!
They were pretty funny though and I am quite certain they found my various shades of red and stammering amusing.

If they’d been carrying wombats or other cute animals, I’d have passed out.

Several summers ago, I went at least a couple of times a week to a city recreation center near our house to take walks on their indoor track. Being a civic-funded operation, I believe anyone who belonged to the local volunteer fire department was allowed to use the facilities for free, and the building was designed so that the walking track was on the second floor, but open into the lower level where the basketball courts and the weight room were. So there were a number of times when several firefighters happened to be working the weight machines at the same time I was taking my walks, and even though I’m not particularly into that specific fantasy either, I will confess to watching them with a smile as I went around that end of the track. Nothing wrong with having a fine appreciation for a fit and healthy male form, I always say!

Two years ago, the couple across the hall from me set their stove on fire cooking their Thanksgiving turkey. I heard a smoke alarm going off but wasn’t worried right away. Then I heard what sounded like an entire football team coming up the stairs. I thought perhaps someone was having a (rather large) holiday get-together but they kept coming and coming. So I looked out my peep hole to see a swarm of firemen outside my door. ? I threw open my door to a cloud of smoke, but the (insanely good-looking – yes, all of them) firemen told me it was under control. Then one of them started walking directly towards me and my apt carrying a big metal thingy when I said “um, I believe the fire is in the apt behind you”, to which he responded with a smile “yes, ma’am, I’m just going up to the roof to vent the hallway”. The stairs to the roof is right next to my apt you see. After turning about 50 shades of red, I closed my door and tried to forget about my ridiculousness. The next morning I was still thinking about the whole thing, when I realized “you idiot, you should have set your curtains on fire!” ?

Right??!! … (Yes, yes, I know I am repeating myself, almost stammering.) 😉
