Happy Homecoming

Peeps, this just arrived in my inbox and it’s too good not to share right now. In this clever and innovative video from BuzzFeed, a young woman returns home to her loving dog, and we see the happy reunion from both points of view. Oh, but the heartstring-pulling only starts there, as door after door, dog after dog, our furry friends remind us every day that there’s no place like home. (via Andrew Y.)

I’ve always said that nobody will ever be as happy to see you as your dog is – every single time, whether you’ve been apart for an hour or a year.

Awwwww. Adorable and tear-inducing at the same time.

I know, right??? And who started peeling the onions?

I dunno how much longer I can hold out before adopting another dog. I miss Ricky so very much, and I know he can’t come back to me. But life in a dogless home is so … drab. Fortunately some neighbors have a new puppy (adorable—I think she’s a Shiba Inu, I must ask), and they’ve asked me to dog-sit a bit in December. That should help me to see if I’m really ready to take on a new furchild.

Ricky’s Mom, I was not supposed to have another dog. I did no planning to get one. And then…. a texted pic of a tiny black Millie changed my life. She found me.

In fact today is our third anniversary. ?

Congratulations! I can hardly believe it’s your third already. Where does the time go?!? Extra scritches for Millie from me!

Wow, three years???? Congratulations to you both!

I so love dogs but haven’t had one since I was in my 20’s – so very long ago. I think for now rabbits and a cat will do but there’s part of me, especially when I see such happy video, that so longs for a pooch.

          That’s a wonderful opportunity.

          That’s a great idea, Ricky’s Mom.

Thanks, folks. I feel it’s a very lucky break for me—and I hope little Winter and her family will feel the same way.

I could not get the smile off my face. That video gave me a whole bunch of happy.

Yup. After 14 years of seeing Dmitri’s disapproving yet adorable face as soon as I enter the back door, there are days it feels literally physically painful to come home to… nobody. It’s time to come home to Fuzzy Grumpiness again.

Oh I miss having a doggy! I am a cat whisperer by nature, but was raised by a dog lover and I do miss having one so much. Couldn’t wipe the smile off my face either. Nothing beats a happy-to-see-you doggy when you come home.

Millie is really short. So when I walk in she’s on dancing her hind legs with her front legs reaching up to me. I tell her to jump on the bed and she does this crazy spinning thing. Totally worth coming home to, every single time.

Running an errand after work today I had a pupper get all politely inquisitive on me– I gave him a big hello and smile, would’ve loved to get a puppish welcome when I did get home!

As an important aside; Duckie ‘you out there? How’d today go with the full body Cscan?
