Morning all! Looks like a late start happening here!! 😀 Did everyone sleep in?

One of the late night shows (Daily Show maybe?) mentioned the cat shipped (I saw it last night on youtube). I almost looked it up to send to Mike but didn’t. Not surprised to see it anyway.
Bat tongues! Kinda ew but cute at the same time.
FKA – I wish I had slept in. My coworker’s last day is next Friday and I’m off all but Monday morning so we’ve had to go over some reports I will need to take over. I hurt my shoulder the other day and I seem to be coming down with a cold. I could use a nap and it’s not even 11am.

Ughh, hang in there Allein!

I did not sleep in, or much at all. These low blood sugars are taking their toll. Turns out the swelling in my husband’s foot is from calcification of an artery. He has an appt with a vascular surgeon today to decide how to treat it. After my birthday dinner, cake and ice cream, and no bedtime insulin, he woke up at 1:30 am with a blood sugar level of 36, again at 4 am with a level of 53, and at 7 am with a 39. I really expected him to be running high. Hopefully we can get this solved soon, because eating has become his new way of life, trying to keep his blood sugar levels up enough to stay alive.

Patty, I’m so sorry for your troubles – your poor husband! And so tough on the caregiver, too. I wish I could lift your burden in some way but all we can do is empathize and cheer you on as best we can.

Does anyone know if there are any bats that mate for life? This is a genuine question, I really want to know.
murkle46December 19, 2018 / 2:13 pm
Most species of bats are promiscuous and will mate with multiple partners. In some cases, one or two males will acquire and defend a small harem of females. A few species are even monogamous, and the entire family will roost in a group once the children are born.
I couldnt find the exact species.
Bats also are unusually sincerely real freaks in some cases.

Did I get the grammar right in the last sentence?

Love the doggie smiles and the sweet kitty who came in from the cold.
Laughing my a** off at the parrot ordering from Amazon. Thank goodness my cats can’t talk.
Had to share the boxcat story with our shipping manager, who found it very funny. That’s what happens when you climb into boxes, kitties!

Not shipped in a box, but they found a kitten on a truck at work once. Who knows how far he traveled. I was going to lunch and they had him in the stairwell; a guy from animal control was transferring him from a cardboard box to a carrier. He was not more than a couple months old and looked kinda skinny. Luckily he was not injured when they were unloading pallets. I always wonder what happened to him.
