I have been following Droege and his awesome bee images on Flickr for about 6 years now. I love a fine little bee…..and do my best to feed them with my garden. Go bees!
Bees are heartbreakingly vulnerable. It seems that because their food sources have evolved to encourage them to visit, they have not developed/evolved defenses to the chemicals we use like pests have.
My new front-yard garden includes lots of pollinator plants. I can’t wait to see what pops up in the spring.
P.S. I love Mister Bentley, the dog model. His sweet face made me squee audibly.
