Exotic dancer Crystal Chandler scandalized audiences in the 1940’s with her innovative “Bubble Dance.” But as Chandler herself later recalled, the act was tame. “It was all done with clever lighting,” she later admitted. “Everyone thought I was au naturel, but I was wearing a fur coat the entire time.”

Purrlesque dancer.
Nice one!
Mike’s brain to science time …
Definitely!
Nocoa is quite the lovely cat. And so bendy!
Similar thought here – very bendy. And stretchy.
I know we are not supposed to touch dancers (or in Cutetropolitan: no touchie the dancers) but this one looks so soft.
She might not mind someone touching her fur coat.
I’m trying to figure out what the purrlesque dancer’s front paws are on? I tapped on the Instagram link and there is one other picture with that in it but I still can’t tell what it is. Any ideas?
Looks like a wall-mounted kitty perch with a bubble window. You can see a side entrance and a little cushion in this pic.
[Must not let cats see this. (Hides phone)]
Fancy!
Wow, from looking at other pictures, guess I’m not up to date on the unique cat furniture and accessories for a cat’s paradise. I think these cats are lovingly spoiled.
I love that bubble window thingy. My cats would too.
At first glance I thought it was a convex mirror like the one in the Arnolfini Wedding Portrait.
So spoiled! Just as she deserves.
Love her name, Mike! You are one VERY clever cat.
