Puppy and skunk love to play with each odor!
At the home of Oreo and Friends, rescued animals play together all the time, so it’s not unusual to see play-pals such as Boodle the skunk and Teddy the pup mixing it up. And neither of them are the least bit bothered with a certain unpleasant aroma, by which I mean Teddy’s puppy bref. (via Murray C.)
Puppies! Skunk! Plus a fennec fox cameo! Sheer perfection.
That is a chunky skunk.
I can’t wait to watch when I get home, now!
I love Second Puppy’s derpy haircut.
I’ve never seen a skunk play like that. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but I was!
The website of the company Oreo and Friends says they can be hired for exotic animal encounters and children’s parties, but I don’t see anything about the participants being rescue animals. I wonder where they do get their animals.
Click on the link and you will see that yes, they are rescued animals.
But the only mention of rescue I see is where they say, “We use this channel just to post fun videos of the animals involved in our encounters, as well as the exotic animals we rescue.” This could be taken to mean that the animals used in the encounters are not rescues. They call themselves an animal encounters company, not a sanctuary or rescue group; and their URL ends in “co.uk,” not “org.uk.” Not to be overly cynical–just wary.
Yes, I had the same concerns. Still, the video itself is cute. I hope they are legit.
FWIW, I checked out their website, and did a little more web-searching. They seem to be legitimate. They’re not a .org because they run a commercial operation, which presumably helps to pay for the needs of the animals in their care. They’re very big on promoting awareness that exotic animals should not be kept as pets. Oreo himself is no longer among the living, but he had quite an exciting career—he was the model for Rocket Raccoon in a Marvel film, among other things. It looks like not all of their rescued animals are used at parties or for therapy; I guess the ones that aren’t suited for that are just cared for, and I suppose they may appear in videos. It’s hard to tell for sure, but the owners of Oreo and Friends don’t seem like that hinky couple with the puma.
It looks like Greco-Roman wrestling. That skunk has some moves!
Eeeck, a skunk in the house?! And, quite a fluffy/chubby one.
