“Thanks, Marcy. Well, as you can see, this winter storm isn’t showing any signs of letting up. We’ve had about seven inches of snow today, and I can say that for certain because that’s how tall I am.”
I’m taking a snow day, Sharon H.

Weather Corgis need to be a thing.
The only time I watch the local news station is when I’m home from work because of snow. They ask people to send photos of their pets enjoying (or not) the weather on Twitter/Facebook and will show several of them every so often. It’s the best part of local snow coverage.
I’m sure the owner got the doggie out after taking the pic. But I hope it didn’t scare it, almost being buried in the snow. I can’t see any foot or paw prints, so was the doggie just dropped in the snow for this pic? If so, not the nicest thing to do.
I assume there are some details blown out by light reflecting off the snow, but the fact I can’t see any trail makes it look like the corgi borrowed out there, like he’s some kind of snow gopher. Snowpher.
Hee hee snowpher ?!
I can totally see a corgi burrowing under the snow. I don’t think they would be fearful at all?
Hopefully the corgi parent knows their pet’s fear factors.
I like this theory.
How prescient of you, Marcy! It is snowing here in Austria… And winds are supposed to be 75 km/h. I didn’t sign up for this!!
Is that gusts or sustained? Because if it’s the latter, uh, stay inside.
Gusts, but it’s no picnic out there! Stayed inside and wonder what the morning commute will be like… hmmmm
N. Fritz, that sounds like the perfect stay indoors weather to me. Coming for a visit.
You are always welcome, Duckie!
A perfect illustration for the phrase ” I’m feeling a bit under the weather.”
I feel your pain, little guy. I have the same problem. Plus we’re supposed to get a blizzard here on Wednesday. It’s the middle of March!
Snowpher is my new favorite word!
