Kratu creates crazy course at Crufts
In 2018, a dog named Baron Kratu von Bearbum (Kratu for short) charmed the crowd at the Crufts dog show in the UK with an erratic and inaccurate run in the rescue dog agility course. Kratu, a crossbreed Carpathian/Mioritic sheepdog, was rescued in his teen years and while he couldn’t be properly trained he still gave it his best effort.
Well, what a difference a year makes! Kratu made his triumphant return to Crufts this year, and this time he… pretty much did the same thing he did last year. But if Crufts ever adds a “hide and seek” event he’s a lock for the gold. (More info about Kratu here.)

I love this dog so much.
OH, so do I. What a happy guy – he seems to just want to be around people – and to hide in the tube. I laughed myself silly over his antics.
Bless his little doggy heart, he just didn’t care he was having so much fun!
I have never seen a dog play to the crowd like that. And it’s adorable.
You should also check out Olly – another Crufts ‘favorite’. Olly and Kratu would probably get along great because Olly also treats the ‘rules’ as more like a ‘suggestion’ on the agility course. I think it’s great that they do this – have an event specifically for rescue dogs, mixed breeds, mutts, – to celebrate them just as much as the pure-bred show dogs.
If you follow the more info about Kratu link you see that Kratu and his Mom are a wonderful story.
Kratu’s motto: Don’t worry, be happy!
I laughed so hard I cried. What a beautiful, sweet, funny goggy. It’s great that he had so much fun, and that his mom loves him.
He wins for personality and having the best fun time ever.
He gives new meaning to ‘freestyle’! I love when he took a quick lap around the entire ring.
That was a victory lap, no less, and a well deserved one too.
I wish I could vote “up” about a gazillion times. If that little guy doesn’t put a big smile on your face, you might want to check to see if you have a pulse. 🙂
I think I’ve got a new spirit animal and his name is Kratu!
My kinda pooch.
