Watch a cat enjoy a musical massage!
From boogie-woogie to Beethoven, this cultured cat has the best seat in the house, not only to enjoy a piano performance, but also to get massaged by dozens of tiny fingers. The concert begins with a lively tune that runs up and down the scales, as well as kitty’s spine. And after that, it’s time for a relaxing lullaby.

And what could be more relaxing than… Für Elise, of course!
That was toebean-tapping good, Allein S.
“I’m trying to SLEEP, Liberace!”
I love the little crossed paws. 🙂
Damn, those are some LOOOOONG fingers! That person was born to play piano. (But lay off the glissandos. They disturb kitty’s sleep.)
Total aside peeps– I am so very sad about Notre Dame burning down. It’s not a religious thing to me; it is the history, architecture, community, beauty. Ughhh, this makes me so down. Really down.
Oh wow. Just saw that. Thankfully the damage was not more extensive.
Damage is pretty heavy. Was watching live on Periscope.
Quelle dommage.
That is tremendously sad.
Yeah, sorry, spoken too soon. The latest pictures are depressing.
I was just coming on here to alert everyone to the sad news. I’m at my desk in tears, just watched the video where the spire collapsed. Hoping they can and will rebuild but it won’t be the same. Like FKA said, all that history, and beauty gone. I think I’m most upset about the rose window.
AJ, It’s the rose window and flying buttresses for me.. and the vaulted ceilings and… Oh man, this is so sad.
If it helps any, that wasn’t the original spire. The original from the 13th century deteriorated beyond repair and was replaced in the second half of the 19th century.
Yes, the rose window. I remember being literally stunned the first time
I saw it. Irreplaceable. What’s heartbreaking is the knowledge that
something that took a couple of hundred years to build can be destroyed
in a couple of mere hours. And what is likely, some careless little action
on the part of the renovators, as is so often the case.
There’s been an unconfirmed report that all three rose windows have exploded in the ferocious heat. It’s hard to imagine that anything inside could have survived. This is an appalling loss.
I’m seeing reports that the sculptures on the spire and all of the art, relics, etc inside had been removed in prep for the renovation.
I saw pictures of the north and south rose windows still intact. The western one was destroyed.
So sad. Some things are just irreplaceable.
It’s all I can think about. Thank goodness for funny kitties.
Notre Dame was our first stop last year when we visited in Paris, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing on TV today. I’m so sad.
I’ve never been and now I never can…
Most kittehs today have to settle for new-dangled, but much smaller laptops, only classical kitteh knows the joys of full body experience.
Great observation! So much to be said for the “classics”.
So cute! XD
I am finding that I am very affected by the tragedy of the fire. Sadness on many levels. As FKA said – architecture, religious and secular history, and the beauty.
Sweet kitty takes the edge off. The simplicity of her innocence and happiness!
Just came from Periscope. Parisiens in the streets watching the burning are
singing a hymn. So moving.
I hadn’t actually seen the second video. Furry Lise. One of my favorites.
Thank you for well needed giggle Allein! 😀 P.s. Sorry to read about the crappy start of the day. Mondays huh?…
Heh…thanks. And on my way home I needed to get gas. Figured the lights would be back on by then. Intended to go down that road to the Wawa across the highway and then head straight down the highway to home. My gas light came on as I was leaving work. Lights were on. Road was closed. Gah! So I turned left because I didn’t know where I’d end up either way but at least that took me in the direction I wanted to go. Wended my way back through some vaguely familiar areas and eventually ended up on the road that was closed this morning, turned on the highway and went to the Wawa further down (yeah, we have a lotta Wawas). On the up side, I discovered that the road where I turned onto the highway now has a left turn light which is really nice. I hated that turn and avoided going that way whenever possible.
Watching this kitty get played certainly made me feel better. The part where he hits the one key several times to make kitty’s head bounce made me giggle. Also when he uses the paw that’s in his way to play the key. I’d feel bad but I guess kitty doesn’t mind.
Ditto Allein, totally giggle worthy. Thanks!
Fun fact: I used to be able to play Für Elise.
I used to play Fur Elise too – both on the piano and the flute. Plus also on flute, I played Papageno’s Song from the Magic Flute for one of my recitals.
Yeah. I’ve decided I’m done with April. What a rotten month. Let’s move on. Ugh. Really something about the cathedral. I bet they had a huge job just getting the 6Million (Euros or $), and now – wow. Back to square one.
