It’s National Librarian Day!

On April 16 we honor librarians, and Dewey need ’em more than ever. They know where everything in the library is filed…

Hairball remedies? That’s under “A” for “AAAACHH” (Wikimedia Commons)

And they keep the shelves neat and organized.

I sort the romance novels by the hunkiness of the cover model. (Flickr)

And they’re always ready to recommend a good book.

May I suggest “A History of 18th-Century Floofiness”? (Pixabay)

I’ll have to pick up A History of 18th-Century Floofiness for my Cute History collection.

There’s a book out there about the life of “Dewey” a library cat who affected many lives in his capacity as librarian. I don’t remember much more about it except that it was a very heartwarming story.

I loved that book!! And there was a sequel to it as well, Dewey’s Nine Lives which was another great book. I gave a copy to my mom as she was a librarian for many years and she loved it too.

Allein! Yes that is the book! I was in the process of looking it up and doing a better job on my comment but I didn’t have to – tx!

Actually, I might just use Allein as my new search engine. 😁

I bow to no one in my esteem for librarians (and library cats).

I would like to point out, in addition, that today is World Voice Day. Since Voice and Speech is my field, I thought I’d add that. The late Ricky the Dialect Dog would have wanted me to.

What do you mean by The Dialect Dog?

      • Ricky & Bibi’s Mom April 16, 2019 / 7:08 pm

I’m a production dialect designer/coach and dramaturge. Ricky the Dialect Dog was my assistant. He was especially good at demonstrating tongue exercises and doing laryngeal massage; and also client retention.

I adore libraries and the kitties who help run them! Happy day!
