And finally: Cat Raises Squirrels!
Most children can be a bit squirrelly, but reader Sylvia C. shared a BBC story about a cat who raised actual squirrels with her kittens!
I especially love the story about Louie the Blind Cat. I wish more people would think about adopting a special needs pet – the rewards are huge. Also admire the commitment and dedication of the tortoise lady.

Love Louie and Hope the kitties and George the tortoise. Will catch up on other linkies later, but I can never resist a good cat story first thing in the morning!
The plink-plinking eyes of a sleepy, milkfed squirrel made my evening.
Podcast suggestion: 99% Invisible episode entitled “Uptown Squirrel” 😀 (Starts with a squirrel census in Central Park.)
(I listened at lunch and the had Billy Joel in my head all afternoon.)
Did you hear the purring at the end? Don’t know if it’s the squirrel or the cat.
