Making the Most of a Bed Situation

No, it’s OK, this is fine. I’ve… um, I’ve actually been trying to slim down lately, and I think a smaller bed will be an incentive for me. It’s like, what’s that thing where you imagine what you’ll look like when you meet your goal, and it inspires you? Visualizing? Yeah, that’s what I’m doing, visualizing. It’s like, when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade, and what do you have to do to make lemonade? You have to squeeze. And that’s what I’m doing, I’m going to squeeze into this bed.

I’d like to squeeze a certain cat’s neck.

Hey, whatever lets the dog sleep at night, Sharon H.

Poor pup, you’re more than welcome to sleep on the hoomin bed.

I think there’s room enough for both of them on there.

The carpet’s gotta be comfier than the cat bed…

Even though I’ve seen soooo many permutations of this scenario, it never stops being absolutely adorable.

Aww, poor little fluffernutter! Come snuggle with me and I promise you at least 75% of the bed and all the treats you want. And smooches and hugs and…. well, you know. 💕

Fluffernutter! That’s what I used to call Ricky! I used to sing him the song, too.

I don’t even like peanut butter or marshmallow fluff. I just like saying Fluffernutter. And the song is catchy.

TIL that there is a fluffernutter song. My teaching will never be the same… bwahahahaha!

          You’re welcome for the ear-worm.

That dog is big enough to grab one side of his bed and dump the cat on the floor. He just needs to be a little more assertive. I believe in you, doggie.

I have seen video of a dog trying to do that…however it ended up just giving the cat a ride around the floor as he didn’t quite get the flip part down. It was pretty darn cute.

I’ve seen that. It was great. There’s another good one where a lab calls the cat’s bluff and just sits on him.

          😂

Aww poor puppers. I always feel bad for dogs whose beds have been usurped but then I have to laugh ’cause they just don’t do anything about it and they’re usually bigger than the cat! Guess it’s true, cats rule and dogs drool

All the more when it’s a big, “vicious” breed. Pup could tear that cat in half with one bite but he’s over there looking pitiful while kitty gets to snooze away.

I think cats rule by coolly disregarding the obvious size differences, thereby confusing the pups. I always think of that video of a crocodile or alligator coming up out of the water onto the shore and being confronted by a cat, calmly sitting there. If I recall correctly, the cat whapped the croc/allingator on the snout . After considering for a moment or two, the croc/alligator retreated back into the water.

I don’t know what’s funnier, that the dogs never learn, or that the hoomins never learn.

So true! Why don’t owners just buy 2 large beds? Oh… then we’d have fewer photos for Teh Cute.

The cat would find a way to hog both of them simultaneously.
