Being a dog doctor is a demanding job. It requires insight, intuition, and a keen sense of smell. Take the case of a patient I saw this afternoon. I could see at once he was in bad shape. He had a drawn expression and looked extremely thin, especially when viewed from the back. That’s when my trained nose went to work. Within moments, I noticed a distinct chalkiness that could only mean one thing: The students in the nearby school were making fake “dog treats” again.

Masterly, NomTom!
What a diagnostic professional.
Timing is everything.
That is an amazing picture, with a no doubt completely accurate description of Dr. Dog’s analysis of the situation.
A โdrawn expression.โ Haha.
Really got a good laugh at this! Silly doggo!
Reminds me of the dog trying to get the bone that’s painted on the bottom of his water dish.
I had several chances to take pix of Ricky sniffing toys’ and statues’ butts, but was never fast enough. My favorite missed moment was the time he went ballistic barking at some stone lions outside someone’s front door. Little nut. I miss him so.
Wandering from the point of this thread, I am happy to say that Miss Bibi behaved beautifully at my dentist’s office this morning. She kept me calm, and at one point fell asleep on my lap. Everyone in the office was charmed by her. I’m bringing her back with me in two weeks, which I sincerely hope will be my last dentist’s visit of the year. Fingers and paws crossed!
Good job Miss Bibi…you are a treasure!
Along the same line as the stone lions is the utube of a sweet dear dog trying to get the “man” on the park bench to throw the stick. Just awwww! He tried so hard – dropping it at the feet and then dashing a couple of feet away ready for the throw!
Dear sweet Ricky. And Bibi–what a great girl! It’s so cool that your dentist lets her come in.
