Not That Mike The Other Mike

Today Maru encounters a cat-sized version of the classic Roach Motel. Maru can check in — but he can’t check out. Oh sure, he could get out via the conveniently-placed exit hole cut into the side like Hana does, but this is Maru we’re talking about here. He doesn’t just need a way to get out. He needs a good reason.

    That was the funniest Maru video I’ve seen in a long while!!! Totally hysterical, I was in tears. Loved when he was going in through the top and the last thing you see is his fluffy butt. And then him trying to get out through that same hole, OMG. Killed me ded. Oh Maru, you are such a goofball and maybe not the sharpest crayon in the box but we still love you.

    I see Maru’s point. He’s being severely logical – I got in through the hole therefore I must be able to get out. Hana, on the other paw, eyes the holes and figures getting the treat and getting out is easiest through the big hole.

      I didn’t have time to watch the video at lunch but the thumbnail made me howl. Then I saw the video and laughed myself silly. What a riot! Especially the look of mild panic on Maru’s face as he tried to hoist his petard through the top hole.

        That’s okay, it took me a minute to figure it out. The song references checking out but not leaving similar to Maru trying to crawl out of the top hole but never able to actually do so, making him “trapped” like the person in the song.
