After years spent searching the globe, legendary treasure hunter Woodrow Fozzlebeak had gathered all of the fabled Ninety-Nine Nuts of Nephthys. Now only one piece remained, bringing with it unlimited power over time and space: the cursed Mammoth Macadamia of Madagascar.
I think he’s cracked up, John B. (photo by Lorraine Bruno from the Naturalist’s Notebook)
So if he finds it does he unleash the curse upon the world? Mankind? Birdkind? Just himself? Inquiring minds want to know.
This really needs an explanation. What???

For people like me with trypophobia, this one’s hard to take. But I do like woodpeckers.
Thank you. First I had to look up trypophobia – that is amazing to me to begin with. I’m astonished that such a fear exists – it seems almost eerily specific. Then acorn woodpeckers – what an astonishing system they have, what a world they live in.
I went back and watched the video about them. I’m in love!
I agree they are astonishing but uggh but it also reminds me of a bad skin condition.
What kills me is you can see more acorns in the background. There’s an entire *forest* of these silly acorn trees.
