And if That Fails, then HMS Pinafore

In the unending tapestry of nature’s mysterious realm, species have adapted a bewildering variety of strategies to startle and bewilder would-be predators. Perhaps the oddest of these is the Mikado Turtle, which confuses attackers by singing “Three Little Maids from School Are We.”

I’m getting Supreme vibes from those little turtles, not Gilbert & Sullivan. That middle one is the Diana Ross of the group.

The middle on looks so happy. Right one, not so much. Left one just looks a tad confuzzed..

I think that one is experiencing the Actor’s Nightmare—”What show am I in?” The other two seem happy in their work.

YESSSS! :D!! Anybody here remember that Frasier episode? That was such a good show during it’s heyday.

Love Frasier but I started thinking about the Mrs Bradley Mysteries episode when a record got stuck on “three little maids from school are we…” and that is my earworm for today.

Yes!!! Remember too the episode where Frasier forgot the words to “Buttons & Bows,” during the tv fundraiser?! Miss that show!

Yes! and I still crack up thinking of the episode where Frasier is doing a commercial, endorsing a political candidate who on break confesses he was abducted by aliens. I had a client do that to me once; we were having a normal, sound conversation and then she starts going on about the aliens who live amongst us– very tall skinny ones, regular grey coloured big eye and head aliens and then the ones who adopt a humanoid figure.

FKAWalden, if you (or anyone else) are interested, John Green reviewed the phenomenon of Gray Aliens on his podcast The Anthropocene Reviewed. Really interesting (the other review in the episode is Rock Paper Scissors).

I just started listening to that! One of the other shows I listen to played an episode and then I went and listened to the rest.

At my former job, our truck driver told me all about his landlady, who apparently was a witch and could fly. He didn’t mean in an airplane. Yikes.
