I Don’t Have a Drinking Problem

I lie down, I dip my paw, I get a drink. No problem.

I love how nonchalant this kitty is.

That is ADORABLE! I love that the bowl matches kitteh’s nose and paw pads.

So dainty and not all sloppy and noisy like a dog. I’ve had two of my bunnehs dip their leetle toe beans in their water bowls and lick them.

Quick update: today I went to Ikea for the first time in 5-6 years and got nearly everything on my wish list! My apartment upgrade is on track! A good friend provided more than enough support and advice (and even drove the 1.5 hours to Ikea and back). Feeling truly blessed!

I have never been to Ikea…

Ikea is overwhelming. I can walk through it and find dozens of things I’d like to have… a capitalist’s dream! I have to go in with a list of specifics. even then I dropped a good amount of money today and we were able to fit everything in my friend’s car (the reading chair will be delivered while I’m in the States).

also they have authorized Task people who will assemble that stuff for you without trying to figure out the weird 1 inch wrenches.

And they have cloudberry/ingonberry jam. That goes really well with their frozen meatballs.

I HIGHLY suggest that you close your eyes and have a friend walk you through the bottom floor to avoid temptations. I always lose it in the kitchen area, I have a friend who has no control in lighting.

I don’t know if Germany Ikeas are set up differently than Canadian ones.

To me, the store is overwhelming and annoying because they force you to walk through the entire store via “rooms” just to get to what you wanted to buy in the first place.

That tactic seems like a really transparent way to get you to buy stuff you don’t need or even want.

Aside from small things like soap dishes or lamps, I try to avoid Ikea as much as possible. I find their furniture extremely uncomfortable, and only for guests you want to leave as soon as possible.

I still hold a grudge against the futon my parents bought me for college despite my protestations. I ended up taking the mattress off the frame and sleeping on the floor.

What an amazing feeling that must be NFritz! I would like to completely empty my house and then fill it up again with all new stuff. OMG it would MATCH and it would all be NEW at the same time…

This totally made my afternoon. I cracked up watching how civilized and dainty kitty was inbibing the water. And lying down too? Too much!

Looks like someone should be standing behind her with a big fan while someone feeds her grapes…

(But not really because I don’t think cats are supposed to eat grapes.)

Is kitty’s name Cleopatra by chance? And I think cats aren’t allowed to eat grapes either so maybe make it tuna morsels instead.

    Surely you can’t be serious

I’m 100% serious. And don’t call me Shirley.
