How Low Can You Go, Maru?

Today’s experiment at the Maru Testing Labs will examine a key property of feline elasticity: their flattenability (which is a real word, don’t bother to look it up, it just is). As the partition is lowered, Maru and Hana must flatten themselves to reach the other side. The results may help explain why cats can sneak under closed doors, hide beneath couches, and mail themselves to exotic locations.

He’s one flat cat, Andrew Y.

Just wondering what was the incentive? A can of tuna flavored Slim Fast?

I bet it was just the challenge – Maru does like to test himself (and the laws of physics). His solution is brilliant!

I loved it too. Hana trying to cheat had me roaring.

    “(Hana retired.)” 😊

On my way home tonight I took the side entrance into my complex, which is down an otherwise dead-end side road (so usually pretty empty). I saw a critter crossing the road and as I got closer I saw it was a possum! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one out and about! So since no one was behind me I stopped to see where he was headed…he went up on the grass and disappeared under the fence. (I don’t know how flat he had to get to do it.)
