(sigh) Every day, it’s the same routine. Get up, kiss the wife, drive to the office, push a pencil for eight hours, trying to beat out the others for a raise. I feel like I’m in a competition with my fellow rodents for some sort of meager reward.

Ahhhh! A ratso behind the wheel is better than my coffee this morning. Thanks Mike and good morning peeps. This helps in turning my frown upside down. 🙂
Threadjack: This morning on our walk in Central Park, Bibi and I saw a woman walking a pig on a leash. That’s a first for me. (I don’t know what Bibi has seen before.)
Well, it is NYC. And I bet no one batted an eye. Having lived there myself, I know you’ll see some sights there that you’ll see no where else.
Piggy was very popular with the dogs in that part of the park. I think piggy’s mom was a little overwhelmed, but the pig itself seemed unfazed. Bibi wasn’t very interested, as there were no snacks for her involved. 🙂
🤣😁🤣 You’ll have to try hypnosis on Bibi to know?!
Rat race!! 😋 What an adorable little furball!!! And if I’m honest, he’s probably a better driver than at least half the drivers in Massachusetts.
I’ve never seen a pig on a leash. Boy, have I led a sheltered life or what?! 😕
This is so cute! I’m usually not a fan of rats but he can be my Uber driver any day. And Lucy’s Mom, if you think MA drivers are bad, try the drivers in Italy and Greece. It’s an adventure if you’re so unlucky to be trying to cross the street.
Wish me luck today and tomorrow fellow Cutetropolians, move in days at the university I work are back! From what I heard approx. 3,000-3,500 students each day. Traffic is going to suck around here for the next several days. Thank goodness, I walk to work and can snicker at the mayhem.
AJ, I’ve actually driven in Italy and 20+ years later I’m still recovering from the experience. 😀
So true! My uncle who was a native of Greece, used to chug Maalox when he drove because he got so agitated with all the crazy drivers.
I live in a major university town and the mass transit system is heavily devoted to supporting student movement, from getting to and around campus to traveling to destinations around town.Free for students.Eliminates the need for personal transportation.Thats thousands of terrible drivers the locals are spared from.I highly recommend it.
My university is small enough to walk everywhere plus we have pretty decent mass transit here and there’s a hub where several bus/trolley lines come in but the SoCal car culture makes them all feel like they still need a car. And a semester transit pass is only about $150 vs all the costs associated with a vehicle. The university did decide that freshman that live on campus can no longer have cars on campus so that relieves some of the congestion.
I should not get on the subway right after reading a particularly funny post here. I fear my quivering with suppressed chortles may cause people to start edging away from me. Vermin marathon – I’m still laughing hours later.
And this a bad thing on the subway, how?
I’ve always considered people moving away from you on the subway the best indication that some bottom line thing is wrong with you. People will put up with ALMOST anything on the subway.
