Links: Some Folks Wear Hearts on Their Sleeves, and Others, Well…

Rorschach cat, faithful dog, noisy rooster, and a mostly pet-proof feeder, in today’s links.

And finally: Set It and Regret It

This automatic pet feeder makes your cat eat at the correct time every day, which is whenever the cat decides it is. (SoraNews24 via Andrew Y.)

Aw, poor Daisy. I heard about that on the radio and…it’s not nearly as bad as they made it sound.

Can’t watch military dog video until later but just the pictures have me teary. How can they abandon a dog like that?!

Will save Best Cat Posts for later.

Feeder kitty is a genius. My cat would never figure that out.

Fortunately, the former military dog was abandoned in a reputable kennel that cared for the dogs and worked to reunite them with former handlers. It was the best way that bad situation could go down.

Some people are just plain silly. I don’t think Daisy’s markings look like anything objectionable. I honestly had no idea what the problem was until the article spelled it out for me.

Same here. I thought what’s so objectionable about a heart marking on her face? Glad she and her sister have a new home. If there’s any cat that should have a “d***k marking on their face it’s the cat in the video. Pure “F You” move and yet pure genius. Gave me a good laugh.

I agree with both of you! Daisy’s a beautiful girl and hope she’s happy in her new home.

The feeder cat is hilarious. Mine would want to do the same thing, though they might not figure out how to open it.

I looked at the pics before reading the text or the headline, and it was the first thing I saw. Maybe it’s a guy thing?

Funny. I think so. A demonstration of relative importance.

Yeah. No kidding Jen and AJ.
Reminds me of a business class I took once where the prof could not use the word “penetration” without infantile giggling from some girl. And, unfortunately, market penetration was often the subject of the class.

Sorry BFB! Didn’t mean to suggest you are akin to an air headed student. In fact, it might be strange if you (being a guy!) didn’t make that connection right off! 😁😁

I probably wouldn’t have either if I hadn’t heard about it over the weekend.

Ok, what is it with this trend to dress animals in outfits?? I just don’t get it. I can see if for some dogs but most animals are just fine the way they are. And most of them don’t look too happy with the situation. Enough nuffing. Other links are great, big thank you to the court for recognizing that a rooster crowing at 6:30 am is not disruptive. 4:30 or 5 am??? Then yes, you could make a case out of that. So happy the dog got to be reunited with his handler, always love stories like that.

I am ok with neckwear as long as it is no more intrusive than a collar might be. Or even dressing dogs in outfits as most seem to love the attention. But not for more than a photo op! Hopefully owners use common sense and know their animals likes, dislikes, and boundaries. Especially with cats.

Having said that, we had a cat when I was a kid that loved having a sock draped across its back. I believe it started because she was always jumping into the warm clothes fresh out of the dryer. My mom would always lift her out and one day a nice wooly sock clung to her back. It became a regular thing to lay a warm sock over her back at laundry time. She waited for it and then proceed to her wee bed for a nap.

OMG it’s like Michael Scott as two cats in neckties.

Blue-eyed kitty in plaid tie– the cat in the gray flannel suit!

I look at that last video and shudder at the thought of cats with opposable thumbs.
