“Now listen, lady! I’m just doing what you hired me to do! Did you send for a baby-watcher? A baby-stand-next-toer? No, you did not! You hired a baby-sitter and that’s exactly what I’m going to do! Now let a professional work in peace!”

Such an indignant face.
It is my experience that boxers have Opinions about things. They decide to go about the task at hand a certain way, and that’s just what happens.
In my college years I babysat for a family with four kids – and three boxers. Essentially, I was watching seven kids. They all needed attention and most of the time there was a kid draped over a dog. I loved it. More than 20 years later I continue to have some contact with the family. They still have boxers.
One of my earliest memories (I must’ve been about 3 or 4) is of a boxer across the street who was “babysitting” a crawling baby. That dog would not allow the kid to leave a prescribed area in the front yard. I assume there was a parent looking out the window (God, I hope so) but all I really remember is how devoted the dog was to that baby. The memory has stayed with me for 60+ years.
Dog looks like he doesn’t give a rat’s behind about who does what or why. He’s made up his mind and that is that. 😃
