Lotsa Luck Today

That’s right, it’s another Friday the thirteenth, which is my busiest day of the year. I’ll be crossing lots of paths, spreading that bad luck around. That umbrella you just bought? Totally collapsing in a gust of wind. Checking account? Overdrawn. Oh, and keep an eye on the “check engine” light in your car. Just saying.

    I am not afraid.

At least, not of this kitty.

Black cats don’t scare me. In fact, I looovve me some house panthers so bring on your worst!

Me, either. I got a visit from my neighborhood black kitty this morning. Got a good 15 minutes of snuggles.

      I’m jealous.

I hereby wish friendly black kitty snuggles for all. My basically tame cardinal, Jack, was less than pleased, though. He was too scared to eat his birdseed ten feet away until kitty had exited the yard.

BTW, I had a lovely view of an oversize full moon the last two nights on my drive home. 🌕

I saw it out my living room window the other morning when I got up. It was so cold and beautiful.

True story. The last Friday the 13th we had in September, I was at a Space 1999 party with a bunch of friends. In the pilot episode, an accident causes the moon to be ejected from earth’s orbit – on Friday the 13th. While we were watching, a violent micro burst came through right over us. Our car and 5 of my friends cars were “remodeled” very permanently by the many trees that came down. The important thing is that no one was hurt and I can smile about it now. Then, not so much. 🙂

That would have been very, very frightening to go through!
