The Morris Garfield Meowseum of Meowdern Art is pleased to announce the acquisition of Linoleum and Remorse, the latest painting by cubist Xavier Backwash. “My approach to portraiture is to break down the body into its most basic elements,” notes the artist, a technique that has earned him restraining orders in five US states and most of Europe.
More masterpiece cats at Cats My Life, spotted by Cheryl S.
Exquisite! An artistic breakthrough!
The cat’s name is Porkchop. First Lasagna and Meatball, now Porkchop.
I’m hungry.
Roughly how I’m feeling this morning.
And, after snerking tea all over my iPad screen while reading, roughly how I look!
Mike, the best!
I love EVERYTHING about this post! The title! The Morris Garfield Meowseum of Meowdern Art! The scrolldown. THAT PHOTO!!
My favorite was the comment about restraining orders in five states. Stalking is a serious issue, but come on, it’s a cat.
I shudder at what my cat could say.
Point taken. However, I was hinting at something even weirder than stalking.
Oh, I wasn’t nuffing. Cats are natural stalkers.
I assumed the restraining order was related to HOW he breaks down the body “into its most basic elements”. Most artists do this figuratively. Perhaps this artist’s approach is literal!
At least the cat’s ears seem to have been put back in the correct place.
Oh, it’s a serious issue for your cat if other cats are stalking you. Obviously you’re doing something to attract this attention and cheating on him/her.
I like the bit about keeping his eye out – it certainly is. (I’m not posting much these days because every time I do I have to fill in all of my info, the screen blanks, I have to clear my history, replace passwords in various other sites, – it’s kind of a pain. But this was worth it) And then I don’t even get the edit key and my avatar keeps switching.

Almost Picassoesque!
I think you mean Picatsoesque.
